NZ Dawn Raids Pre Reading
Our pre reading activity involved reading different newspaper headlines and writing down our thoughts and wonderings about it. May be some of our thoughts and wonderings change after we read the book and know more about it. We are also going to be fact checking for what we have written.

ReplyDeleteI like how you didn't just research one subject, but three. For me the most interesting topic you researched was the last one about Pauline Smith, as I didn't research much about the author. So I was surprised when you said that she was educated in 7 different primary schools. You also said that she was born in 1963 so she was living during the dawn raids, so do you think she was also a target of the dawn raids?
I love the thought that the images in the corners are things that symbolises the main characters goals! I never thought of a possibility like that! Seth-SpxTui.

I really like it how you have done research on multiple different subjects, I find that it makes your work more at attractive having multiple different subjects to read. I also like it how you have your own wonderings about the front cover. Why did you choose to research on multiple different subjects.
