NZ Dawn Raids Pre Reading
Our pre reading activity involved reading different newspaper headlines and writing down our thoughts and wonderings about it. May be some of our thoughts and wonderings change after we read the book and know more about it. We are also going to be fact checking for what we have written.

ReplyDeleteI'm not quite sure who you are but I definitely agree with you. Because I have also been wondering why only Jacinda Ardern has apologised and not anyone else like the past prime ministers. Maybe only Jacinda Ardern cared or maybe everyone did care but they didn't choose to apologise. I don't know but I definitely agree with you.

Hi I'm Marley from SPXTūī. I didn't know that Jacinda Ardern apologised for the New Zealand dawn raids against Pasifika people so this is new information for me.
ReplyDeleteYes, Jacinda Arden did apologise for the Dawn Raids all those years ago... There was a huge ceremony for the event and it was big on the news. From Inaaya and Mays

ReplyDeleteKia ora I am Seth from SPXtūī. I really like the connection that the image on the cover of a sign that says "polynesian panthers" and the fact that the polynesian panthers were the ones that stopped the raids. I have honestly never thought of that before.
